It’s official: RVC will open in August on the beautiful White Hill school campus in Fairfax!

In January, RVC began a process with the District to determine how to best share the White Hill facility. RVC today (April 12) officially accepted the District’s final offer. We are grateful that this issue has been resolved and will work to be good neighbors as well as minimize our impact on the middle school.

“This is a wonderful place for our school to begin,” said RVC Director Luke Duchene. “Everything RVC needs to build a school where our students, teachers and families can learn together and truly thrive is here. We are now planning and preparing so we will be ready to open our doors this fall.”

Nestled at the base of White Hill in Fairfax, our new site includes:

  • Eight spacious classrooms, one of which will be used for art, after care, and other specialty classes
  • Specialized learning space for special education, supports for English Learners, Intervention, etc.
  • Administrative office area
  • Conference room
  • Lunch service area
  • Outdoor play area (with a new play structure planned for this summer)

Additionally, some spaces on campus will be shared with our middle school neighbors (to be scheduled for use at different times):

  • Multi-Purpose Room
  • Library/music room
  • Outdoor picnic tables
  • Grass field space

RVC teachers, teachers, and officials recently toured our new campus. “We love that our classes and offices will be all together in one building with a wide hallway. It will be a great place to grow our RVC community,” Chris Lyons, 4th/5th grade teacher, said.  “We are excited to have outside working space right behind our building, and we are steps away from vast open space for our outdoor explorations.”

If you would like to visit the campus with either Director Luke Duchene or an RVC teacher during non-school hours, please complete this form at our website.
