Educating the Whole Child … it’s what we do at Ross Valley Charter

For those of you who may have missed it, an email went out last week from Marin Mommies. It was a detailed and in-depth description of how we at Ross Valley Charter educate the “whole child” — and how, as a community, we all honor this about our school. The demands of the 21st century require a new approach to education policy and practice ~ a whole child approach to learning, teaching, and community engagement. Measuring academic achievement is important and necessary; no one is arguing otherwise. But if we fail to move beyond a narrow curriculum and accountability system, we will have failed to adequately prepare children for their futures. Click here to read the article and pass this along.
