COMMUNITY
Ross Valley Charter School fosters a vibrant, inclusive community where collaboration, creativity, and curiosity thrive. Families, teachers, and students work together to cultivate a love of learning through inquiry-based education, social-emotional growth, and meaningful community engagement. The school actively encourages parent participation, creating a strong partnership between home and school that enriches every child’s educational experience.
ANNUAL EVENTS
RVC celebrates connection and community through a variety of annual events and traditions, including Playground Clean-Up Day, the Readathon, RVC Spring Sing-Along, Peace Training, the annual school play, and Walk & Roll Days. Families also come together for monthly Parent Coffee Chats, strengthening the home–school partnership that makes RVC such a warm and engaged learning community.
PLAYGROUND CLEANUP DAY
Families are encouraged to volunteer to help in the classroom, special events, school clean up days, and many other ways.

Monthly Parent Coffee Chats at Ross Valley Charter School offer families a relaxed space to connect, share ideas, and engage with school leadership. These gatherings strengthen community ties and keep communication open between parents, teachers, and staff.
PEACE TRAINING AT RVC
Peace Training at Ross Valley Charter School empowers students with conflict resolution skills, emotional awareness, and tools for fostering a positive, inclusive school culture.

RVC SPRING SINGALONG
The RVC Spring Sing-Along with Mr. Josh is a beloved school tradition that brings the community together through music and joy. Students, families, and teachers join voices in celebration, fostering connection, creativity, and school spirit.
WALK & ROLL DAYS
Walk & Roll Days at Ross Valley Charter School encourage students and families to travel to school by foot, bike, or scooter—promoting healthy habits, environmental awareness, and community connection.
RVC READATHON FUNDRAISER
Progressive Data Based Programs and inquiry based learning inspire fresh ideas, a fearless open mind, and leadership skills.

Interested in getting more involved in volunteer opportunities? RVC uses ParentSquare to send information from the teachers and administration to the families of RVC. Plus you can sign up for school committees or volunteer in the classroom, recess, school cleanup days and sign up for special events. There are many ways to take part in our amazing community.
JOIN THE COMMUNITY COUNCIL
Our Community Council is a joint organization for parents, teachers, and administrators to work together to make RVC a great place for our children. This group puts ideas into action and helps bring the change that we as a community desire to see in our school.
We hold meetings once a month that encourage all families to come together and share ideas in one room.
RVC FAMILY HANDBOOK
This handbook is designed to help family members and students get acquainted with RVC. It explains some of our philosophies, beliefs, structures, procedures and policies. This handbook will serve as an important reference for you while you are a part of the RVC community. We are committed to building a school culture based on relationships and real human needs. We realize that we need norms of expected behavior so this handbook helps to begin this relationship.
